Hello Fellow Longhorns and Staff :]
I'm Marc Morales, and as you all know I am in RTF 305 this semester. So it took me awhile to figure out this setup since I've never used this site before. But hopefully I'll get the hang of it sooner than later.
I came from a small city called San Benito TX way down in the Rio Grande Valley, and I am finally a Longhorn in Austin. My hobbies are playing Guitar, Drawing and Writing, and Gaming. If I'm not during either, well I'm hanging out with friends. As of now I'm Majoring in RTF for digital arts and hopefully in a year of two, I can Minor in Music.
Since I was a kid, I've always played video games and watched movies. I would draw the characters that would control everyday and I began making stories with my own characters. During my later years of elementary, I wondered what it would be like to make them as career. Everybody wanted to be an Astronaut, or a Doctor, or a Firefighter, and so on. But I had something else in mind when that dream first sparked...I wanted to be a Game Designer. So now a days, I continue to enjoy the rapidly growing digital entertainment that our society has grown to love. I play Xbox alot with my friends online and remain connected with them, and I am inspired by the new media that is coming out. Avatar would be a good example of the New Media that developers are using, and for Gaming, well the new Halo: Reach is another masterpiece that helps me strive to be a Digital Artist.
RTF is the best fit for me since it will give me not only the basics for the cinema and media, but it'll give me the experience for the digital imaging, the audio technology, and to make my visions come to life. Music and the Scenery go hand in hand to create a great movie and game. Now I am finally taking that next to step to who I want to become.
These are my goals in life and not what show who I am basically. But hopefully I can give more info about me later on. :] Or you can always add me on Facebook and yada yada yada. And for reading this is boring story about me lol, here's a clip from a project my friends from High School and I took part in making for Media Tech. Hope you enjoy :]
